We are throwing it back to last weekend because we have our bi-week this week! Last week, the blog post was a bunch of photos from the weekend & this week I will be writing about the long weekend! It started with a fabulous win for the Buffs vs Cincinnati! We won 34- 23! This victory brought us joy and made us eligible for the bowl game, which excited everyone! The energy in the stadium was electric, with fans cheering and celebrating every touchdown. Then the Broncos won 28-14 against the Panthers! Overall, it was a super exciting weekend filled with DUBs and thrilling moments. In this blog post, I will be taking you more into depth about what those days looked like! Let's unpack this!

CU vs Cincinnati (Saturday): This game was AWESOME! ESPN decided to give us another super late game time - it was 8:25, so my day did not start bright & early, so that was nice! At 2pm, I began to get ready because we had to be at the stadium around 4 o'clock to get set up. After all, we had some super exciting recruits coming to town! I got on the all-black jumper that I just got & was super excited to wear, then walked to the facility. It was super friendly out! When we got there, we headed into our meeting ( talked about your role for this particular game day & who you're going to be with). Then we set up, and this week, we got the best barbecue - it was SO good. Time was flying, and then people started showing up. Some of the recruits wanted to go watch Buff Walk, so I took them up there - it's always a blast, and it really gives off the vibe of Boulder & the school. Then warm-ups began, so the staff took them down to Colorado to watch Ralphie run, and a bunch of students had signs for the recruits, which was fun. After she ran, we took them to their seats to watch the game. It was a long one, but it was super exciting. My personal favorite play was Jimmy Horn's peace sign. I thought it was great. Then the game wrapped up in a dub, and I got home around 1:30 am! Overall, it was a very successful day.

Broncos vs Panthers (Sunday): Now that it is the next day, it's NFL time. This week, the Broncos were playing the Panthers! The day started at 4:30 am (I didn't feel like sleeping anyway, haha). Some of my co-workers picked me up at 5 to head to Denver. These mornings are always tough, but I always bring the team Celsius! When we get there around 5:45, we head right into a meeting. I had the kickoff kid and a couple of other in-game activations this week. I love being assigned to the kickoff kids because they are kids from Children's Hospital who have had some complicated challenges with their health - they get to run out and have a big moment on the field and grab the tee. The girl was so cute this week, and I am glad I got to hang out with them! We did not kick first during the game, so I took them back to their seats to grab them at halftime, which worked out better because there was a corgi race! There were about 12 of the cutest little corgis, and they all raced on the field. Some of them wanted to fight each other, didn't want to run, and one of them had a broken leg. It was hectic, but my co-workers and I decided to bet on which dog we thought we would win - mine came in last. After the kick, I had many more things to do on the sidelines, and the game was wrapped up. I said bye to my kick off kid & we got to meet Pat Surtain II! Another dub with our rookie QB Bo Nix! These double weekends are a lot of fun, but they are also very exhausting. I wouldn't trade it for anything, but it's a 10/10 weekend!
